I’m having withdrawals from Pam’s class…sad to say it’s over.
The last lessons were about depicting emotion using color contrast. I set out to create an unusual bird, mysterious or exotic, in a dark garden. Not convinced that I was successful in the lesson, but it certainly is an odd bird in an odd quilt.
I like the quilt. You were making something for yourself and had very personal imagery. You didn’t want it to be like everyone’s else’s quilt. If you are not sure about how it turned out put it away for a while. Come back with different eyes. I am sure that you will think better about it later.

I kind of like odd: it’s a piece with personality which makes me want to keep looking at it.
