More colorful batch this time! I expanded my tying and folding repertoire a bit too. All the dyes were PRO MX FIBER REACTIVE DYE Powder (aka: Procion Dye). I used Chartreuse, Lavender and Safari Grey (which looks more like an Eccru.
This time I used the low water immersion method. Some of it was actually immersed – the darker lavender pieces sat in the dye bath for a few hours this time; but some of it wasn’t really immersed – I poured the dye bath onto the fabric in sections. In the first batch I did, I only let the dye batch for an hour and got a much lighter color. I also doubled the amount of dye powder. This time I wanted more vibrant color, although still somewhat toned down – just what I was after, so it was a good day!
