A Small Wholecloth Piece

One piece that didn’t make it into any previous post:

Nature Print — The first layer of this piece was done about a year ago. I did a shibori dye and I think I used Dye-Na-Flow. This time, I overprinted it using screen print ink with some nature printing, that is, I inked up the leaves and pressed them onto the fabric to make the impressions.

It seems a bit overdone right now, but it’s all part of the process. Maybe I’ll go back in with some discharge dye on this one. Then again, I don’t know if screen print ink will discharge!?

I think you need to look at as part of a larger whole. There are some very nice parts there!

I love this as it is. Probably you can quilt it with lighter thread to bring out the beauty of those yellow flowers!
