For most of this week I’ve been framing most of this summer’s work so I can finally begin to post the series I’ve been working on. I put together some stretcher strips, glued a piece of foam core board on top of it, then topped it off with the finished art quilt and stapled it to the back. Last, I added either eye hooks or D-rings and attached picture wire to it. I set out to do a series about my natural environment. Then I went a bit off-track and tried to narrow the scope of my project to “the yin of it” but that was a dismal failure. First off, I confused myself. Then, thankfully, I confused my Crit group. Then I knew enough to give up the “yin thing,” and get back on track with my original idea, which I’ve named the “Au Naturale” Series. I’ve already posted the first one here. Here’s the next in the series, “Water Under The Bridge.” My footbridge photos are from a cemetery in Salem, MA. and the grasses are from the Ipswich River Sanctuary in North Reading, MA. The sunprint is one of my first from earlier this summer. I embellished with beads and hand embroidery.

Thanks for checking it out!
Oh this one is just beautiful! I love it!
