
The processing for this week began with a crop to the lower center of the original photo. Then smart sharpened and adjusted the exposure slightly before converting to black and white.I duplicated that image and took it to the threshold, layered the two and topped it off with a third layer of the original, each time adjusting the opacity. Finally, I liked the effect of posterization overall for a final edit.

I like the simplicity of this reduced to black, white and grey and the textures are wonderful! I think the square? Suits this well too 😃 Nice work Janis!

Tricky, huh? It almost looks like a square because there’s so little in the bottom portion! Thanks for the comments! I like this one too – it’s elemental. Although, I rushed outdoors in freezing weather to take this because of the pink sky that reflected on everything at the time I took the shot!
