I’m always admiring Marsha Leith’s photos on her blog, Coolquilting, and last week she joined a new photo challenge that caught my eye as something I might want to do. Today I decided to join in as well since it can coincide with my Lightroom progress. So,it’s a WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge on The Daily Post, and this week’s theme is shadows.
For this, I took an old fave of an alley off of Washington St. in Boston into Lightroom and applied one of their black and white presets, the red high contast and recropped it. I liked the smooth, understated feel of this edit.
Very nice capture!

The wordpress weekly photo challenge is one I have been doing for awhile. The new one I am doing is from Nancy Merrill’s blog….with a similar name called A Photo A week Challenge. You can reach her blog through a link on my post here: https://marshaleith.wordpress.com/2017/02/09/a-photo-a-week-challenge-details/

Thanks! I took it awhile ago. It was just too cold to go out for a fresh one!
