A Year’s Work – Whew!

IMG_20170429_162926

The big day has now come and gone.

Three pieces of art now have new homes.

My biggest surprise was seeing two friends who drove up from Cape Cod without telling me they were coming – Marcia and Yvette – good friends for sure!

My display, almost all new work.

Only after setting this up did I realize just how much I accomplished this year.  In one year, I produced at least twice as much as I did in the previous 7 years combined, since doing textile art.

Below: These pieces are in wonderful new homes!

I got to meet, talk with and listen to a lot of fabulous people I would not have otherwise met and received lots of valuable feedback that will undoubtedly shape the work that I have to tackle in the next year.

THANK YOU to all who came to and showed their support for the Melrose Arts Festival 2017!

  3. Congrats on this show of your work! I like textiles in art it is such an interesting feel to the work. ( no pun intended I am speaking about an emotional response not a “touch” one. )

    1. Thanks! Interesting thought! It’s been such an emotional year for us here and it couldn’t help but seep into the work. The mere thought of the Dakota pipeline actions and all were quite provoking for one who makes art that references and tries to honor nature and our planet.
