Seeing Differently Challenge 3, 4, & 5 of 15

I’m working my way up to the goal of 15 images for the challenge of “Seeing Differently” over on Robyn’s Captivate Me blog. I better get a move on to catch up!

My outdoor studio is one of those portable garages made of the same material as a plastic tarp so it’s somewhat translucent when the sun is right on it. Falling leaves and pine needles have settled around the edges of the roof and sometimes you can actually see them through the roof if you look up.

Still in my studio, I focused my attention on the shelves where I keep some supplies. Sumac berries are for dyeing my fabric.

I’m always on the lookout for rusty things, or metal that I can rust to imprint the texture and design on fabric. The can still needs to be rusted but the perforated sheet of metal is well rusted.

  1. Really interesting images – thank you – and great observing – love them all actually! So glad you shared some of the things that make up your dyeing process!
