This time of year is difficult for many but this year it seems particularly trying. We so want the world to come back to its’ senses but the dramas continue. We have a mysogynist president who backed a pedophile for the Senate. Puerto Ricans still have no clean, running water or electricity in a vast part of their territory. At least 210,000 gallons of oil have spilled near the small town of Amherst, S.D. from the Keystone Pipeline. The crisis in the Congo has caused about half a million children to be starving, not to mention the adults who are also being killed and forced out of their homes. Two journalists were taken into custody in Myanmar for trying to cover the story of violence there, where hundreds of thousands of minority Muslims known as Rohingyas have fled to escape the violent persecution.
…but still I hope!
Hope, regardless!
