I love the Cut Out Filter in PS. I think it’s so fabric friendly and I love the shapes it develops. I did tweak the saturation, exposure and levels as well as some selective color alterations. I’m enjoying this week’s pic, which is a pic I chose to develop in the workshop I took a couple of weeks ago. I did start a drawing but I didn’t get too far in class. Instead of doing some drawing at night I went out and played with Cape Cod friends. I did do the drawing this week so I’ll share it, although I think I wasn’t so happy with the Fantasia pencils I was using. But it’s good enough for a first pencil study for my purposes, which is to eventually render this scene in fabric.

I really the effect of the cut out filter too! I’ll have to give this a go… Your drawing is beautiful and I can imagine a quilt from this!

the cut-out filter is one of my favorites too. I like how the crests of the waves are nicely highlighted

I especially like that aspect of it here. Even the waves farther back are topped off with highlights.

I like the way you cropped the rocks in the pencil drawing to make them the focus. My eye is drawn around the crescent of rocks in a pleasant manner. The sense of motion in the water was retained. Nice work!

I love the textural feel for this week and your drawing. Keep going! Are you designing your own fabric? Must go back and re-read 😃😃
