One Four Challenge, July, Week 2

Rocks In Lake2.

I love the Cut Out Filter in PS.  I think it’s so fabric friendly and I love the shapes it develops.  I did tweak the saturation, exposure and levels as well as some selective color alterations.  I’m enjoying this week’s pic, which is a pic I chose to develop in the workshop I took a couple of weeks ago.  I did start a drawing but I didn’t get too far in class.  Instead of doing some drawing at night I went out and played with Cape Cod friends.  I did do the drawing  this week so I’ll share it, although I think I wasn’t so happy with the Fantasia pencils I was using.  But it’s good enough for a first pencil study for my purposes, which is to eventually render this scene in fabric.

  1. I like the way you cropped the rocks in the pencil drawing to make them the focus. My eye is drawn around the crescent of rocks in a pleasant manner. The sense of motion in the water was retained. Nice work!
